Beginner Quests (Rano)

The beginner quests are a collection of quests that players get when they start a new character. They provide some useful rewards, like certain basic skills, experience points (EXP), ability points (AP), and money (gold), and guide the player through Iria.
Find the Aged Stone Wall, Sketch the Statue, Bring a Fragment of the Statue, and Find the Hidden Pillar nearby are Exploration Tutorial Quests given by any human character that enters Qilla Base Camp for the first time and are separate from the other Beginner quests.


Find the Aged Stone Wall[edit]

How to get

  • For Humans, talk to Ffion the first time you enter the Rano Tutorial Zone. After talking to her this quest can be accepted from the Crystal Ball next to her.

  • Report to the Crystal Ball

Rewards

  • 169 Exploration EXP
  • 400 Gold

Additional Information

  • This quest and the quests that follow it can be skipped by talking to Ffion with the "How to Reach Qilla Base Camp" keyword.

Sketch the Statue[edit]

How to get

  • Complete the quest "Find the Aged Stone Wall", and then accept this quest from the Crystal Ball next to Ffion.

Objectives

  • Sketch a human stone statue
  • Deliver the piece of rock to the Crystal Ball

Rewards

  • 169 Exploration EXP
  • 400 Gold

Additional Information

  • Twelve Sketch Papers from Ffion will be received upon starting the quest.

Bring a Fragment of the Statue[edit]

How to get

  • Complete the quest "Sketch the Statue", and then accept this quest from the Crystal Ball next to Ffion.

Objectives

  • Gather a piece of rock from the stone statue
  • Deliver the piece of rock to the Crystal Ball

Rewards

  • 169 Exploration EXP
  • 400 Gold

Additional Information

  • The Stone Statue can be gathered from by clicking on it with bare hands

Find the Hidden Pillar Nearby[edit]

How to get

  • Complete the quest "Bring a Fragment of the Statue", and then accept this quest from the Crystal Ball next to Ffion.

Objectives

  • Find an artifact of a pillar through L-Rod
  • Report to the Crystal Ball

Rewards

  • 169 Exploration EXP
  • 1,200 Gold

Additional Information

  • An L-Rod from Ffion is received upon accepting this quest.
  • Completing this quest will either give you Eiry if you started a new character in Rano, or a Practice Short Sword if Eiry was already received in Uladh.
  • Guide for the Beginner Explorer is given as an unlisted reward
  • Completing this quest allows you to leave the Tutorial Zone and go to Qilla Base Camp

Nao's Letter of Introduction[edit]

How to get

  • Create a new Human character in Iria and leave the Soul Stream.

Objectives

  • Go to Qilla Base Camp in Iria and hand the letter to Alexina.

Additional Information

  • You will need to take the boat in the harbor to Port Cobh and then head North from Dunbarton to reach Tir Chonaill.

Additional Information

  • The Glowing Pot-Belly Spider is the boss of the Karu Glowing Pot-Belly Spider Dungeon, which requires a Glowing Pot Belly Spider Statue in order to enter. This is a high difficulty dungeon and bringing a party is recommended.

Ruins Exploration[edit]

How to get

  • Complete the quest "Nao's Gift".

Additional Information

  • Completing the first quest objective gives you a Beginner Chickling Hat, the Aspiring Adventurer title, and a Maiz Beginner Pass

Maiz Beginner Dungeon is a much easier version of Maiz that contains mostly animal monsters found outside of the Exploration Camp normally. The boss is still 1 Stone Gargoyle.

  • Completing the third objective will give you a Karu Beginner Pass

Karu Beginner Dungeon has similar spawns to Karu Normal, but it is shortened to be only 2 floors. The boss is still the same as Karu Normal. Any party members that clear either dungeon with the player that has the quest will earn the "the Millitian Helper" title

An Invitation to the Fishing Boat[edit]

How to get

  • Learn the "Aspiring Sailor" Title

Objectives

  • Talk to Myrddin at a remote beach south of the giant bird

Rewards

  • 40 EXP

Additional Information

  • The Aspiring Sailor Title must be equipped in order to complete this quest.
  • The Aspiring Sailor Title can be learned by Riding the boat between Port Cobh and Port Qilla 10 times.
