I love flowers. Red, yellow and purple. But I've never seen a rose before. I wish that I could one day see one... no, two... no, a whole garden of roses! There would be red ones, yellow ones, and purple ones. But I'm sure they're all kinds of beautiful regardless of their color!

My sister said you have to think carefully about what you wish for, and that they don't always get fulfilled... If I make this the one wish I have, then I'm much more likely to have it granted, right?

I've heard that roses have thorns, and it's a little scary... But maybe that makes them even prettier. Sometimes, the prettiest things are also the most dangerous. My sister brings me daffodils, daisies, lilies, and lilacs. They're all pretty, but I want to see a rose. I don't want to bother her by telling her, so I smile anyways. She told me my smile is the prettiest flower there is. I tell her she's prettier, but she doesn't believe me.

Then one day, she told me about a beautiful flower - a rose - and how it was special. It wasn't a normal rose, it was a blue rose. She told me she would show one to me the next day. However, she forgot about it. I didn't remind her; maybe she was hiding it as a surprise! I still loved all the flowers she gave me. But one day, she showed me the blue rose. It was so beautiful that I began crying. I don't know if it was really the rose I was crying about, but I knew I was happy. I never got to see a garden of roses, but at least I got to see the most beautiful flower in the world.
