Description

SEYFRIED is a human Milletian taking the form of a pink wild horse or a Unicorn. He idles near the Taillteann Stonehenge, and does not do anything else.

• This NPC is a direct reference to a well-known player on Mabinogi Official who goes by the same name. He is famous (or infamous, depending on who you ask) for always being transformed into various horse creatures via the Transformation Mastery skill and idling by the Stonehenges in Taillteann and Tara. Even when joining others for shadow missions, he would maintain his transformation, much to the dismay of many players who were spamming the Shadow Mission Defeat the Shadow Wizard. This is because most players preferred their runs to be fast, and using Transformation Mastery for combat is widely considered to be inefficient due to how it limits players' abilities to use skills. SEYFRIED is not particularly strong either, so this only added to players' frustrations further.
  • Over time, however, many players began to accept SEYFRIED as he was. Some even get excited to have him in their parties.
  • On Mabinogi Official, SEYFRIED has been seen transformed as the pink Wild Horse (the one referenced here), the Unicorn, the Bomb Steed, the Hell Steed, and possibly other horse creatures. Being able to transform into the Hell Steed would imply that SEYFRIED has at least Rank 2 Transformation Mastery.

• Due to SEYFRIED's near-constant state of being transformed, it is not known what his character model typically looks like.
  • The only information that has been confirmed with other players is that he is male.
    • Older screenshots of his character can be found on old Reddit threads, but they don't reveal much other than the equipment he was using at that time.

• SEYFRIED was known not to speak often. The inability to speak to the NPC here references this directly.
  • Some players say that they have had conversations with him, and say that he will speak with you if you add him as a friend.

• One player in particular (known as SendMeYourSoul on Reddit) shared a few facts about SEYFRIED that they learned from having direct conversations with him.
  • As of 6 years ago, he was a "70 something" year old man who loves horses and lives on a ranch. He only plays Mabinogi so he gets to run around as a horse.
    • It is not known how SEYFRIED discovered the game.
  • The reason he doesn't talk is because he can't reach the keyboard while he's fighting. He also forgets how to chat sometimes.
  • As of 6 years ago, his total level was over 7,000.

• Humorously, it is possible to mount SEYFRIED.
  • Doing so will grant players with the knowledge of the "Horse and Ostrich Rider" title if they have not obtained it yet (the hint for obtaining the title, not the title itself).

• SEYFRIED's apperance will randomly change between the pink wild horse or the Unicorn each time the server is restarted.

• Given SEYFRIED's origins as a player on Mabinogi Official, this makes him both the only player and the only NPC in Auranogi to possess the Transformation Mastery skill.
